Luftbau — a three-language website for a Prague ventilation company
A turnkey site for a ventilation contractor: design options, a custom WordPress theme in English, German and Czech, a project catalogue, the move to hosting, domain, email and Search Console.
Luftbau (luftbau.eu) is a Prague company that manufactures ductwork and installs ventilation on large sites across Europe: pharmaceuticals, factories, data centres and clean rooms. Its clients are main contractors who need people, materials and technical support for a project. We built Luftbau’s website from scratch: prepared several home page options, built the site from the chosen one, wrote a custom three-language WordPress theme, and then launched everything on the client’s hosting together with the domain, company email and Google Search Console.
Technology stack
WordPress with a custom theme, no page builders and no ACF. Pages are assembled from blocks in our own engine: in the admin, blocks sit as tabs on the left and can be dragged, switched on and off. Languages run on Polylang: English by default, German and Czech under /de/ and /cs/. Forms run on Contact Form 7, SEO on Yoast. A dark palette with a blue accent; projects are a separate post type whose order is set by drag and drop.

The home page
The home page is short and aimed at a B2B client who needs to judge quickly whether the contractor fits: services, expertise, completed projects and an enquiry form. The coloured word in the headline is set in its own admin field.

Projects
Each project is its own entry with a photo, the site, city, years, duration and area. The home page shows not the latest projects but the ones the client picks in the admin, and the References page lists them all in the drag-and-drop order.

Inner pages
Manufacture is a product catalogue by group with photos, References is the full project list, and Career lists vacancies with employment type and an apply button. There is also a 404 page and a template for text pages.

Three languages
Every page, menu and form exists in English, German and Czech. The language home pages open at exactly /de/ and /cs/, with no extra words in the URL. We translated the form error messages separately for each language, because by default Contact Form 7 showed them in English even on the German version. All 12 pages have their own Google titles and descriptions, and the sitemap includes every language version.

Turnkey launch
We first built the site on our own server and then moved it to the client’s hosting. There we connected the domain, which was registered with another registrar, and set up five company mailboxes on the domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. We also verified the domain in Google Search Console, submitted the sitemap and wrote the client a guide to editing the site in the admin.
The mobile version
On a phone the menu collapses into a burger next to the language flags, while the call and email buttons stay on the first screen.
Summary
We did the whole project: design options, front end, a custom WordPress theme, three languages, projects hand-picked for the home page, forms with translated messages, SEO for every page, the move to hosting, domain, email, Search Console and a guide for the client.
