MOTORTRAC SERVICE — a website for a diesel engine workshop

A site for an Odesa engine workshop: a custom WordPress theme, a page for each of seven engine brands, diagnosis by symptom, AI search preparation and Google Ads conversions.

MOTORTRAC SERVICE (motortrac.com.ua) is a full-cycle engine workshop in Odesa: overhauls, diagnostics and fault inspection of diesel engines from excavators, loaders, tractors and generators. Engines come in from all over Ukraine, with a 12-month or 1,000-engine-hour warranty. We built the workshop a site on a custom WordPress theme with a separate page for every engine brand, prepared it for Google and AI assistants, set up ad conversions and moved it to the client’s hosting.

Technology stack

WordPress with a custom theme, no page builders and no ACF: all page content is edited through our own fields engine. SEO runs on Yoast plus our own structured data for the company and the Q&A blocks. A dark palette with a yellow accent, a background video of machinery on the first screen, and WhatsApp and Viber buttons pinned to the side of every page.

The first screen: excavator video, the headline, engine brands with series on the right and the workshop’s key numbers.

The home page

The home page answers the questions of an owner whose machine’s engine has died: what the workshop does, which brands it covers, how a repair goes, real cases, who it already works with, mechanics’ reviews, diagnosis by symptom, FAQ, articles and an enquiry form.

Services block — what we do with a diesel engine
Services as photo cards: overhaul, computer diagnostics, fault inspection, cylinder head, fuel system and turbo repairs and more.

Engine brands

The brands block works as tabs: pick Perkins, Cummins, Deutz, JCB DieselMax, Yanmar, Kubota or John Deere to see the series, the machines they’re fitted to and the typical work. We cut the white-background product photos out to transparency so the engines sit on the site’s dark background without white boxes.

Seven engine brands we keep parts for
“Seven engine brands”: brand tabs, an engine photo and series with typical work.
Six steps — from the call to the machine back at work
Six steps from enquiry to running-in and handover.
Cases block — three typical stories from our workshop
Cases with the cause of failure, scope of work, time and warranty.

Diagnosis by symptom

Visitors pick what they see: blue smoke, coolant pressure in the tank, no power, low oil pressure. The likely cause, what to do and a rough time frame appear right next to it. Someone arrives with a problem and understands its scale before they even call.

Diagnosis by symptom: a list of signs and the likely cause with a photo.
Enquiry form — a mechanic calls back within 15 minutes
The enquiry form: name, phone, engine brand and a description of the problem.

Brand and service pages

Each of the seven brands has its own page: series and machines, a scrolling line of models, the work done, workshop photos, repair stages and FAQ for that brand. That way the site answers specific searches like “Perkins engine repair Odesa”. There are also separate Engine repair, Cases, About, blog and contact pages.

Contacts: response time, opening hours, workshop address and coverage.

Google and AI search

To get the site into ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews answers, we added a machine-readable company card with address, hours, services and engine brands, marked up every Q&A block, added an FAQ to the contact page and an llms.txt file describing the workshop. For Google Ads we set up a conversion: a click on the phone number counts as a contact.

Mobile version and launch

The site is adapted for phones: the header keeps the logo, a call button and a burger menu, and the WhatsApp and Viber buttons are always within reach. We moved the site from our staging server to the client’s hosting.

Summary

We did the whole site: a custom WordPress theme, a home page with diagnosis by symptom, seven brand pages, services, cases, a blog, photo processing, SEO and AI search preparation, Google Ads conversions and the move to the client’s hosting.
