Der BaumBauer — a website for a German tree care company
A site for a Black Forest arborist: a custom WordPress theme, nine service pages, a before/after slider, an advice blog, an enquiry form and a call · WhatsApp · enquiry bar on phones.
Der BaumBauer (derbaumbauer.de) is a German tree care company from Villingen-Schwenningen in the Black Forest-Baar district. The owner, Marcel Bauer, is a certified European Tree Worker and FLL tree inspector: crown pruning, tree safety inspections, expert reports, difficult rope-access felling, planting and storm damage clean-up. We built his website from prototype to launch: a custom WordPress theme, nine service pages, a blog, an enquiry form and SEO set-up for the pages, and we stayed on for support after launch.
Technology stack
WordPress with a custom theme, no page builders and no ACF: the home page and service page blocks are edited through our own fields engine in the admin. We first built an HTML prototype of the home page, then moved it into the theme and filled every page with content. SEO runs on Yoast with custom page titles and descriptions for local searches, forms on Contact Form 7, fonts are League Spartan and Montserrat, and the palette is forest greens.

The home page
The home page is built around trust: why clients choose the company, services, the owner, why professional care matters, a before/after example, reviews, the service area, FAQ and a call to enquire. Leaves drift slowly over the first-screen photo while the text stays readable.

Before and after
A before/after slider shows the result: drag the handle and an overgrown plot turns clear and safe. For this kind of service it convinces better than any text.

Service pages
Each of the nine services has its own page on a shared template: Baumpflege, Baumkontrolle, Baumgutachten, Spezialfällung, Baumpflanzung, Baumschutz auf Baustellen, Sturmschäden, Waldarbeiten, Baufeldräumung. Each one has a description, the types of work, the steps from enquiry to completion, and buttons for an enquiry and WhatsApp. The home page and most service pages have their own titles and descriptions written for local Google searches.

Contacts and the enquiry form
The fastest route is a call or a WhatsApp message with a photo of the tree, so those buttons are on every page. For people who prefer to write there is a form: name, phone, email, private person or company, how urgent it is, the message, privacy policy consent and a simple anti-spam question. During support we routed enquiries to the company’s own domain mailbox and turned on storing every submission in the admin, so none can get lost.

Ratgeber
An advice section on tree care: when a felling permit is needed, why topping harms a tree, who is responsible for tree safety on a property. The articles work for search and answer clients’ questions before they even call.

The mobile version
Most enquiries in this niche come from phones, so an “Anrufen · WhatsApp · Anfrage” bar is pinned to the bottom of the screen: call, message or open the form from anywhere on the page.
Summary
We did the whole site: the prototype, a custom WordPress theme, the home page, nine service pages, the blog, contacts with the form, legal pages, page SEO meta and ongoing support, including setting up enquiry delivery.
