Chicago Cleaning Services — a website for a Chicago cleaning company
19 pages built from Figma to ±2 px, a custom WordPress theme, service and city pages for local SEO, embedded BookingKoala booking and a move that kept every old URL.
Chicago Cleaning Services (chicagocleaningservices.com) is a Chicago cleaning company offering regular and deep cleaning, move-in/move-out and post-construction cleaning, Airbnb and apartment cleaning across Chicago and its suburbs. We built 19 pages from a Figma design, moved them onto a custom WordPress theme and replaced the client’s old site so that every page with its existing SEO stayed at its URL. After launch we worked through several rounds of client changes and sped up the mobile version.
Technology stack
WordPress with a custom theme, no page builders and no ACF: every page block is edited through our own fields engine, and before/after projects, team members and reviews are separate post types. Forms run on Contact Form 7, SEO on Yoast, and booking and gift cards on BookingKoala, embedded into the site’s own pages. Every page was accepted against the design to ±2 px on desktop and mobile, and the layout was checked at every width from 1920 down to 320 px.

The home page
The home page answers every question someone looking for a cleaner has: services and property types, a first-clean discount, checklists, what each type of clean includes, the process, a video, the team, reviews from Google, Yelp and Thumbtack, before/after photos, service areas, FAQ and the blog.

Service and city pages
Local SEO for a cleaning company needs a page for every service and every city. So the service and city templates are flexible: they power 17 service and property-type pages plus suburb pages. For pages that already existed on the old site, we kept the old H1s, FAQs and SEO copy, moving them into the new blocks.

Inner pages
Beyond the services, we built a before/after gallery with filters, lightbox and pagination, a reviews page, a tabbed FAQ, the team, About, expandable job listings, checklists, Refer a Friend, the blog and article page, contacts with a form, login, privacy policy, an HTML sitemap and a 404.

Online booking
The client runs on BookingKoala, so rather than building our own booking we embedded its form into dedicated pages in the same design. Every “Book Now” button leads there, and gift cards are sold the same way.

A move with no SEO losses
The old site sat on the client’s hosting with no console access, so we moved it through the hosting control panel with our own scripts. All 28 old URLs open with the same Google titles and descriptions, contact details are now consistent and correct across the site, and the old site is kept as a rollback backup. Later we removed a placeholder rating from the structured data that Google Search Console flagged; the rating in the markup now comes only from real reviews.
Speed and the mobile version
We sped up the mobile site: the first screen is preloaded, heavy images were converted to WebP and scripts moved to the bottom of the page. The mobile PageSpeed score for a service page rose from about 59 to about 80. Reviews and blog posts swipe on phones.
Summary
We delivered 19 pages built from Figma to ±2 px, a custom WordPress theme with editable content, service and city pages for local SEO, embedded booking, a move that kept old URLs and SEO tags, a faster mobile version and ongoing changes on the client’s requests.
