CarLeo — an OpenCart car parts store with live supplier pricing
A car parts store built from scratch: parts by car and VIN, a TecDoc catalogue, live prices and stock from seven suppliers, a cart for their parts, a repair shop account, LiqPay, fiscal receipts and delivery.
CarLeo (carleo.com.ua) is a Kyiv online car parts store for repair shops and private drivers. It sells parts from suppliers’ warehouses, and each supplier has its own prices and stock that change daily. So the storefront had to query suppliers itself, show what is really available and when it will arrive, and offer only parts that fit the buyer’s car. We built the store from scratch on OpenCart: the design, theme, price lookup core, a “Garage” with a catalogue for the car, a trade account for repair shops, payments and delivery. The site opened to everyone on 13 October 2026.
Technology stack
OpenCart 4.1 with a custom theme built to the approved design and our own CarLeo Parts Core extension: the price lookup core, the Garage, a cart that holds supplier parts, the repair shop account and the manager’s workspace. The rest is covered by 19 of our ready-made modules, including Nova Poshta, SEO Pack, feeds, filters, fiscal receipts and abandoned carts. The site runs in Ukrainian, Russian and English on the client’s hosting.

Parts by car
The buyer picks the make, model, year and engine, and the car is saved to the Garage. A parts catalogue then opens for that exact variant: assemblies, part groups and a list of compatible parts from TecDoc catalogue data. For a Volkswagen Golf VII 1.4 TSI the catalogue shows 148 compatible oil filters, and separately the 9 that suppliers have right now with a price and delivery time. A car can also be added by VIN: the number is validated and decoded, and harder requests go to a manager.

Price lookup across seven suppliers
The heart of the store is an aggregator that queries all suppliers at once by part number. Seven are connected now: Omega, Elit, Inter Cars, Avtonova-D and Unique Trade through their APIs, Avtotechnics through a price list from their account, and Vesna through a euro price list that arrives by email every morning and is converted at the National Bank rate. Part numbers are normalised, alternatives come from a cross-reference index, and prices follow a markup matrix. The database currently holds about 290,000 price list items. If a supplier doesn’t answer in time, the storefront shows the rest and says some suppliers are silent.

Cart and checkout
A supplier part goes into the cart like any other product. The order is grouped into supplier requests by warehouse, and if delivery comes in several parcels the buyer sees that in advance. Payment is by LiqPay, cash on delivery or invoice for companies, with fiscal receipts through Vchasno.Kasa. Delivery is by Nova Poshta, Ukrposhta or courier in Kyiv. A manager checks compatibility before dispatch, and the site tracks Nova Poshta parcels itself and tells the buyer when a parcel has arrived.

Catalogue and the repair shop account
Alongside the price lookup there is a regular catalogue with featured products, filters and brands. Repair shops and stores get trade access: a personal discount, a credit limit with up to 30 days to pay, bulk lookup of up to 50 part numbers at once from Excel or CSV, and quotes in PDF.

Marketing and contact
The site has SEO with Ukrainian meta templates, a sitemap, GTM with GA4 e-commerce, Meta Pixel with the Conversions API and a Google Merchant feed. Requests and messages reach managers in Telegram and by email, and there is a contact widget on the site. We generated the Leo mascot for the site in ChatGPT.
The mobile version
On phones the header keeps search and the cart, a bottom bar holds search, garage, cart and contact, and the car picker stacks into one column. After launch we ran our own 71-point QA audit and are fixing what it found on the live site.
Summary
We built the whole store: the design and OpenCart theme, a price lookup aggregator across seven suppliers, the Garage with a catalogue for the car and VIN, a cart with supplier parts, payments with fiscal receipts, delivery and parcel tracking, the repair shop account, three languages, SEO and analytics, and the launch on the client’s hosting.
