3D Print Expert — a website for a Warsaw 3D printing studio
A site for a Polish 3D printing studio: front end from a Figma design, a custom WordPress theme, Polish and English versions, enquiries with file upload and images cut from 53 to 4.3 MB.
3D Print Expert (3dprint.expert) is a Warsaw 3D printing studio: FDM printing on demand, 3D modelling and scanning for companies, engineers, designers and private clients. The brand has a bold character — a red mascot craftsman on every first screen. We built the front end from the Figma design, moved it onto a custom WordPress theme in Polish and English, cut image weight twelvefold and launched the site on the client’s hosting. Since launch we’ve kept handling their change requests.
Technology stack
WordPress with a custom theme, no page builders and no ACF. Every section is edited through our own fields engine: admin tabs, drag-and-drop repeatable blocks and a “show block” switch. The front end is built with gulp + Sass; the DM Sans and Montserrat Alternates fonts and the Swiper slider are hosted locally. Languages run on Polylang (Polish by default, English under /en/), forms on Contact Form 7.

The home page
The home page answers a client’s questions in order: how it works, the services, why this studio, sample work, the technology, materials, who it’s for, and a call to send a project. The four “Jak to działa” steps take the worry out of a first order: send a file or description, get a quote, approve it, collect the finished parts.

Advantages with an illustration
In the advantages block, clicking an item opens its description in a black card and switches the illustration next to it.

Inner pages
The “Modelowanie 3D”, “Materiały”, “Technologia FDM”, “O nas” and “Kontakt” pages each have their own mascot first screen, their own admin fields and the same closing enquiry block. We matched the first screens to the design in percentages of the container, so the mascot never overlaps the headline at any width.

Enquiries with a file
The main action on the site is sending a model or a sketch. The “Wyślij zapytanie” button in the header opens the form in a modal, and the same form sits on the contact page: name, phone, email, message and drag-and-drop file upload. Polish and English have separate forms, and the design’s layout is kept intact.

Speed
After the first launch the client complained that the site loaded slowly. The cause was the images: 53 MB of 4K PNGs. We resized them to what the layout needs and converted them to WebP, bringing the total to 4.3 MB. The site serves WebP to browsers that support it and plain JPG and PNG to the rest.
Mobile version and launch
The layout is checked at 1920, 1440, 1024 and 390 px: burger menu, swipeable sliders, accordions. Every button and link has a hover state. We moved the finished site from our staging server to the client’s hosting and set up redirects from http and www to the main address.
Summary
We handled the front end from the Figma design, a custom WordPress theme with our fields engine, the Polish and English versions, forms with file upload, image optimisation, the move to the client’s hosting and ongoing changes on request.
