Key points
What the buyer sees
The checkout gets a Viva.com payment method. The buyer goes to Smart Checkout in the store language, pays and returns to the order success page.
What the admin gets
An order becomes paid only after Viva confirms it. The amount, currency and total are checked, and a duplicate payment is detected.
How much it costs
The base version costs 0 UAH. Pro costs 1,290 UAH, a one-time payment with a perpetual licence.

The trial starts when you ask
A fresh install is the free version, nothing switches on by itself. The “Try Pro for 7 days” button → e-mail → the key right in the window and by e-mail.

One key — two sites
Moving the store? Unbind the licence on the old domain and activate it on the new one yourself. For studios — keys for 5 or 25 sites, or unlimited.

Full module description
Viva.com Payments for OpenCart takes payments through Viva Smart Checkout: the buyer pays on the Viva page by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or another method active in your account.
What the buyer sees
The checkout gets a Viva.com payment method. The buyer goes to Smart Checkout in the store language, pays and returns to the order success page. If the bank declines, they see the reason and the cart stays.
What the admin gets
An order becomes paid only after Viva confirms it. The amount, currency and total are checked, and a duplicate payment is detected.
The order has a Viva.com tab with the payment state, the transaction and the attempts.
How it works — step by step
- The buyer confirms the order; the module creates a Viva payment order.
- The buyer pays on Smart Checkout and returns to the shop.
- The module checks the transaction through Viva and applies the payment.
- If the buyer does not return, a webhook applies it, and in Pro the payment watchdog does too.
Under the hood
- No OpenCart core changes: events and the module’s own controllers are enough.
- Secrets are encrypted; the debug log masks personal data and holds no keys.
- A payment is applied once, even when the buyer’s return and a webhook arrive together.
How to install
- Extensions → Installer: upload the archive for your version without renaming it. OpenCart 2.3 without FTP: copy upload/ to the shop root.
- Extensions → Payments → Viva.com Payments → Install → Edit.
- Paste the Viva keys and copy the addresses from the Viva set-up tab into the payment source and webhook.
- Run the connection check, make a test payment in demo and switch to live.
- For Pro: paste the key or start the 7-day trial.
Questions
about the module
Didn't find the answer? Message us on Telegram and we'll reply within a business day.
What do I need from Viva.com?
A Viva account with a Smart Checkout Client ID and Secret, a payment source for the shop domain and webhooks. Refunds, captures and the watchdog also need a Merchant ID and an API Key.
Where do I get the addresses for the payment source and webhook?
On the Viva set-up tab of the module: it shows the domain, Success URL, Failure URL and webhook URL.
Do instalments work in every country?
No, Viva offers card instalments only to accounts registered in Greece.
Why are the keys empty after moving the shop?
Secrets are encrypted and tied to the shop path and database. Enter them again after a move; the connection check says so.
OpenCart 2.3 does not install the archive.
The 2.3 installer copies files over FTP. Without FTP, copy the upload/ folder from the archive to the shop root.
Is this the official Viva.com module?
No. It is made by CatCode; Viva.com is a trademark of its owner.
