Key points

How to try it

The plugin works with your own Meest contract: the openAPI login, password and contractID come from your Meest manager.

What the buyer sees

The buyer picks “Meest Poshta” among the shipping methods and, instead of an address, fills in two fields: city and branch.

What the admin gets

The settings live where people look for them: WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → “Meest Poshta”.

The trial starts when you ask

A fresh install is the free version, nothing switches on by itself. The “Try Pro for 7 days” button → e-mail → the key right in the window and by e-mail.

One key — one site

Moving the store? Unbind the licence on the old domain and activate it on the new one yourself. If our server is unreachable, Pro keeps working for 14 more days. For studios — keys for 5 or 25 sites, or unlimited.

Technical requirements

  • WordPress 6.2+, WooCommerce 7.0+ (tested on 10.7), PHP 7.4+. Works with HPOS and the legacy order storage, with the classic and the block checkout. cURL and JSON and a Meest contract with openAPI access are required. Live rates are calculated for shops in hryvnia; for parcels, multi-currency shops have an amount conversion filter.

Full module description

How to try it

The plugin works with your own Meest contract: the openAPI login, password and contractID come from your Meest manager. The free part works without limits right after activation. Pro is free for 7 days, no card: the key is issued from the settings in one click.

What the buyer sees

The buyer picks “Meest Poshta” among the shipping methods and, instead of an address, fills in two fields: city and branch. The city is searched from the first letters, the branch list shows addresses, and parcel lockers are in the same list.

Once a branch is chosen the plugin fills the order address fields itself and hides “Address”, “City” and “Postcode” so the buyer does not type them twice. Without a chosen branch the order will not go through: the classic checkout shows a validation error, the block checkout a clear message from the Store API.

Both WooCommerce checkouts are supported — the classic shortcode and the new block one. The widget only appears when Meest is selected, and switching to another method brings the address fields back.

The shipping cost is either the flat rate you set or the live Meest rate for the chosen branch. Free shipping above an order total can be switched on.

What the admin gets

The settings live where people look for them: WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → “Meest Poshta”. Login, password and contractID, the “Test access” button, the sender city and branch, a rate test, checkout behaviour and the licence — all on one screen. The API password is stored encrypted.

On the order screen (HPOS and legacy) a “Meest Poshta” panel appears: create the parcel, see its number and barcode, cancel it, refresh the status. The result of automatic parcel creation on a status is written as an order note, so the history is not lost.

There is also a journal — WooCommerce → “Meest shipments”: every parcel of the shop with its number, recipient, status, cash on delivery and rate, with buttons to create, cancel and refresh.

The branch address goes into the order shipping address, so it shows up in the customer e-mail, in the account area and in any plugin that reads the order address.

How it works step by step

1. You enter the login, password and contractID from the Meest contract and press “Test access” — the plugin logs in and checks that the directory answers.

2. You choose the sender city and branch and fill in the sender name and phone — Meest prints them on the sticker. A test rate to any branch can be calculated right there.

3. You add “Meest Poshta” to a shipping zone and the method appears at checkout.

4. The buyer picks a city and a branch, sees the cost and places the order. The order keeps the branch meta fields and a row appears in the journal.

5. You create the parcel with a button in the order or in the journal, or switch on automatic creation on an order status. Meest returns the number and barcode; while the parcel has not moved it can be cancelled. Statuses are refreshed with a button, and in Pro hourly by WP-Cron.

Under the hood

The shipping method is a plain WC_Shipping_Method, so zones, shipping classes and “free above” work the normal way. The city and branch directory is kept in the plugin’s own tables, so the checkout does not call Meest on every keystroke and does not break when the carrier API is silent.

The block checkout is supported natively: the widget registers as a block integration, and the branch check hangs on woocommerce_store_api_checkout_update_order_from_request, so an order without a branch cannot be created even around the interface.

The API password is encrypted (AES-256-CBC + HMAC) rather than stored in plain text. Amounts sent to Meest are taken in hryvnia: if the order is in another currency the plugin refuses to create the parcel and says so, and multi-currency shops get the mewc_order_amount_uah filter.

How to install

1. Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → the zip from this page → Install → Activate.

2. WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → “Meest Poshta”: login, password, contractID → “Test access”.

3. Choose the sender city and branch, fill in the name and phone, save.

4. Add “Meest Poshta” to a shipping zone — the method appears at checkout straight away.

5. If you want it, switch on automatic parcel creation on an order status and check that WP-Cron runs on the site (for the Pro auto statuses).

@catcode_support Setup, compatibility, activation
Do I need a Meest contract?

Yes. The openAPI login, password and contractID are issued by your Meest manager.

Is the block checkout supported?

Yes, both the classic and the block checkout.

Are parcel lockers supported?

Yes, they are in the same list as branches.

What happens if the Meest API is down?

The checkout keeps working from the local directory cache and the flat rate replaces the live one.

My shop is not in hryvnia — what then?

The plugin does not create the parcel silently, it shows an error; multi-currency shops get a conversion filter.
