BOX NOW Lockers for WooCommerce — parcel locker delivery in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Croatia

CatCode BOX NOW Lockers for WooCommerce delivers orders to BOX NOW parcel lockers in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Croatia. The buyer picks a locker on the BOX NOW map right at the checkout, the shop creates the voucher and prints the label from the order screen, and BOX NOW collects cash on delivery at the locker itself.

What the buyer sees

If the buyer picked no locker, or a locker in another country, the order is refused — on the classic checkout and through the Store API of the block checkout and express buttons alike. The check runs on the server, so it cannot be bypassed from the browser. Other shipping methods are never blocked.

What the admin gets

• A voucher from the order screen — one button. The parcel number, its state and the tracking link appear in the box and in the notes right away.
• The PDF label opens from the same box. Labels for several parcels (Pro) come as one PDF on A6 or A4 paper.
• Cancelling a parcel while BOX NOW has not collected it yet.
• Changing the locker by hand on the order, as long as it has no active parcels.
• Cash on delivery for the payment methods you choose: the buyer pays the order total at the locker. The amount limit is checked before the request reaches BOX NOW.
• All settings in one place: WooCommerce → BOX NOW. The API host (presets or your own from the BOX NOW letter), client ID and secret, the “Check and load warehouses” button, sender, returns, map language, geolocation and the debug log.
• Plain-language errors instead of codes: P400–P467 are translated into human explanations — what exactly is wrong with the phone, the address, the cash on delivery amount or the parcel state.

How it works step by step

1. You add the shipping method “BOX NOW locker (CatCode)” to your Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria or Croatia zone: price, free from an order amount, weight limit per parcel.
2. The buyer only sees the method when the address is GR, CY, BG or HR and the cart physically fits a locker compartment (60 × 45 cm, height 8, 17 or 36 cm).
3. The buyer opens the map and picks a locker. The choice is kept in the WooCommerce session and shown in the panel under the shipping methods.
4. The server checks the choice at checkout: no locker, or a locker in another country, and the order is not created.
5. The order stores the locker in its meta (HPOS compatible) and shows it on “Order received”, in the account and in e-mails.
6. You create the voucher from the order screen — or, with Pro, it is created automatically as soon as the order reaches the status you chose.
7. You print the PDF label and hand the parcel to the BOX NOW courier at your warehouse.
8. With Pro the parcel states are pulled every hour into the order notes, and once every parcel has been collected the order can be completed automatically.

Under the hood

• The check runs on the server, not in the browser. The classic checkout is validated in woocommerce_after_checkout_validation, the block checkout and express buttons in the Store API. A locker choice cannot be faked from the console.
• Messages from the map are accepted only from our iframe and only from a boxnow.* origin, so no third-party page can push a foreign locker into the shop.
• No double deliveries. The order is locked at database level (GET_LOCK) and the voucher number is deterministic: <order number>-<attempt>, with the counter moving only after a success. A retry after a timeout therefore gets “this number already exists” from BOX NOW instead of a second parcel.
• The client secret is stored encrypted and requests only ever go to boxnow.* hosts — an arbitrary host cannot be entered in the settings.
• Packing is calculated locally: compartments of 60 × 45 cm with heights of 8, 17 and 36 cm, and the cart is split into parcels by height (one parcel in Free, up to ten in Pro).
• The API token is cached and refreshed automatically; an expired token triggers exactly one retry, not a loop.
• No “brick” when Pro ends: only the Pro features stop. Delivery, the map, vouchers and labels carry on.
• Translations: Ukrainian and Greek, with English source strings.

How to install

1. Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin: choose catcode-box-now-lockers-for-woocommerce-1.0.2.zip and activate it.
2. WooCommerce → BOX NOW: pick the API host, enter the client ID and client secret, save.
3. Click “Check and load warehouses” and pick the warehouse BOX NOW collects parcels from.
4. Fill in the sender: name, phone in international format, e-mail.
5. WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → your zone (Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Croatia) → Add shipping method → “BOX NOW locker (CatCode)”. Set the price, the free-from amount and the weight limit.
6. For cash on delivery, tick the payment methods BOX NOW should collect at the locker.
7. For Pro: paste the licence key from the e-mail you get after paying, or start the 7-day trial.
