Chicago SEO — landing page for a local SEO agency in Chicago
Промо-лендинг локальної SEO-агенції з 12 секціями — аудит-формою, прев'ю Google-сніпета, кейсами, процесом і Google-відгуками.
A local SEO agency in Chicago with a narrow positioning: working only with businesses within the city and its neighbourhoods — Lincoln Park, Wicker Park, Logan Square, The Loop, River North. The landing page had one job: show in a single scroll why a local contractor focused on the Local Pack and Google Business Profile converts better than generalists working “across all 50 states”, and drive the lead into a free-audit form.
Technical stack
A custom WordPress theme, chicagowp, with no page builder at all: gulp + sass + Swiper for the case-study and testimonial carousels, Choices for the form’s select fields, and Fancybox. SEO runs on Yoast (sitemap_index.xml, Article schema, FAQ schema on the FAQ block). The hero illustrates the service’s outcome directly — next to the heading sits a mock Google snippet for ChicagoPlumber.com ranking #1 in the results, which visually explains to the client “what you get if you order our service”.
Landing page structure
12 sections built around a classic problem-solution-proof-process funnel. Each section carries a short tag pill at the top (“Problems”, “The solution”, “Services”, “Case studies”, “Our process”, “About us”, “Why choose us?”, “Testimonials”, “FAQ”, “Risk-Free”, “CTA”) — serving both as a navigation marker and a rhythm device.
Hero — a promise and social proof at a glance
On the left is an H1 emphasising more calls (in green, the brand accent), three bullets on key differentiators (No Long-Term Contracts / Local Chicago Team / Performance-Driven Strategy), an audit form with a single URL field, and 4.9/5 Google Ratings. On the right is a Google-results mockup: a page-1 result “Chicago Plumber – 24/7 Emergency Service” with stars, opening hours and Free Estimate / Services / Contact chips. Below is an infinite marquee of reference-client logos.

Problems — 4 familiar pains
The “Does this sound familiar?” section shows 4 cards, each with a red tag (Maps visibility, Website traffic but no calls, Bad SEO experience, Competitors outranking) and a specific scenario: “Your business isn’t showing up on Google Maps”, “Your website gets visitors, but the phone doesn’t ring”, “You’ve tried SEO before and it didn’t work”, “Your competitors rank above you for every search that matters”. Everything is written in the client’s own language, jargon-free, with specifics about Lincoln Park, “plumber near me”, and top 3 results = 75% of clicks.

Solution — 3 core directions
On the left is a pillar block, “We get Chicago businesses to the top of google”, with a decorative Google-pin image and a “See how our process works” CTA. On the right are three cards tagged Google Maps SEO / Google Business Profile Optimization / Local SEO, each with its own heading and an explanation of exactly what gets optimised (GBP completeness, NAP consistency, review velocity, proximity signals).

Services — 6 product cards
The service catalogue: Local SEO Chicago, Google Maps SEO, Chicago SEO Audit, Google Ads (PPC), Website design, CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization). Each card follows the same template: a cover photo with a branded van in a Chicago style, a category tag pill, an H3, a service description (60–90 words) and an outline “View service” button.

Case studies — a carousel of 4 cases
A Swiper carousel of full-width blocks. Each case is an individual client testimony: HVAC (Lincoln Square) with +74% calls in 90 days, Plumbing (Logan Square) with +320% inbound calls in 120 days, Dental (Lincoln Park) with 30+ new patients/month over 4 months, Legal (River North) with +210% organic leads in 90 days. The card structure is uniform: a project photo, a quote from the CEO/owner with an avatar, then an expanded block with Challenge / What we did / Result columns carrying concrete numbers and ranking changes.

Process — a 4-step timeline
A vertical timeline with an alternating layout (card–step–card–step), a dashed line with node dots down the middle, and decorative sketch illustrations on either side (a magnifying glass, a compass on a map, gears, a growth chart). 4 steps: Free SEO Audit (Week 1) → Custom Strategy (Week 1-2) → Hands-On Optimization (Month 1-2) → Growth & Ongoing Optimization (Month 3+). Each step has a “What happens” block with 5 bullets and a “Your time commitment” line — removing the business owner’s main objection, “I don’t have time to deal with SEO”.

About — a dark section emphasising locality
The first contrasting switch — a section on a dark green background. On the left, text about the Chicago team emphasising local knowledge (Logan Square, Loop, Wicker Park, Lincoln Park) and a limited client roster. On the right, a photo of the owner with the Chicago SEO logo in the background and three trust chips below: Based on Chicago, Focus on results, Limited client roster.

Why choose us — 6 differentiators
A 3×2 grid on a dark background: Chicago-Focused / No contracts / Result driven reporting / In-House Team / Limited Clients Per Area / Transparent Process. The Limited Clients Per Area card is set apart — it’s the strongest differentiator (“one client per industry per neighborhood”), and the copy carries an explicit note to “feature it prominently and make it visually distinct”.

Testimonials — a Google reviews carousel
A carousel of 3 reviews with avatars, the client’s role (HVAC & Heating, Family Dental Practice), location (Chicago, IL / Lincoln Park) and a Google logo with a 5-star rating next to each. The section heading is reinforced by a separate “Google reviews 4.9/5” badge with stars — strengthening the social proof with a public source rather than a self-claim.

FAQ — a 6-question accordion
A classic accordion: How long does it take to see results / How much does Chicago SEO cost / Can you guarantee #1 / Do you only work with Chicago businesses / Can you take over from existing agency / Do I need a website to rank in Google Maps. Every answer is direct, no filler (for example, pricing starts at $1,500/month, no ranking guarantees are made). The FAQ schema markup targets Google rich results.

Risk-Free — 4 guarantees
A section with 4 uniform blocks separated by a green divider: No Long-Term Contracts (cancel with 30 days notice) / You Keep Everything (your data stays yours) / Transparent Monthly Reporting / No Hidden Fees. This closes the “what if it doesn’t work” objection — the most common blocker for local B2C businesses.

Final CTA — the audit form repeated + a phone number
The hero form is repeated at the bottom — a heading, “Ready to rank higher in Chicago?”, a lead paragraph, a single URL field and a “Get free SEO audit” button. Below are guarantee markers — Free / No spam / No obligation / Results within 24 hours — and in the CTA footer a direct phone line, “(312) XXX-XXXX”, with hours Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm Chicago time. This gives the client a second chance to convert, plus an alternative contact channel.

Individual pages
Beyond the landing page there are only a few pages — precisely because this is a landing page: /contacts/ with an address (155 N Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60606) and a form, /privacy-policy/, /terms-conditions/, and an HTML sitemap at /sitemap/. Yoast’s sitemap_index.xml covers pages + posts + categories + authors. The standard WP sample page is hidden via canonical/noindex.
Summary
The landing page is built on the principle that “one page does all the work”: from the first impression (the Google-snippet mockup in the hero) to the final conversion (the repeated audit form + phone number). A custom WP theme with no builder keeps Core Web Vitals in the green, Yoast delivers Article + FAQ schema, and Swiper carousels neatly display 4 cases and 3 Google reviews without overflowing the scroll.
