Easy House — apartment rental platform run by owners

Продуктова платформа оренди квартир на Django: 16 600+ оголошень у 30 містах з автооновленням, каталог із фільтрами й пагінацією, підписка на доступ до контактів власника, 0% комісії рієлторам.

Easy House (easy-house.in.ua) is a technology platform for finding apartment rentals directly from owners, with no agents and no hidden commissions. At the time of filming it held over 16,600 live listings across 30 Ukrainian cities, with the database updating automatically. The business model is transparent and unusual for the market: browsing listings (photos, description, area, parameters) is free, while paid access unlocks only the owner’s contacts, advanced filters and the full description — this filters out agents and scammers and saves the tenant UAH 20,000–50,000 in commission. This isn’t a brochure site — it’s a full web application built on Django, with its own catalogue, filters, accounts and subscriptions.

Technical stack

A custom web application on Django (Python) — not a CMS. Front-end interactivity runs on htmx (partial updates without a heavy SPA) and choices.js (smart city/district selects). The core of the product is a rental catalogue with an auto-updating listings database, filters (city, district, price, number of rooms, area), sorting and pagination across dozens of pages. There’s registration and an account area, a paid subscription for contact access, and a PDF rental agreement template (updated yearly by a lawyer). The marketing layer covers Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel. The design uses a light, “homely” palette with a dark-blue accent, the Onest typeface, and full-width interior photos. The layout is responsive: listing and city grids reflow, navigation collapses into a burger menu, and filters move into a separate panel.

easy-house.in.ua homepage — hero ‘Apartment rentals. Directly from owners.’ with search
Homepage hero: the headline “Apartment rentals. Directly from owners.” over a photo of a cosy interior, a counter of 16,645 listings, three trust markers (direct contact, no agents, PDF agreement) and a search form (city + rooms).

Site structure

Main menu: Catalogue (/search/), How it works, For owners, About us, Help (/info/), plus Log in / Sign up. The homepage is built as a conversion landing page for the platform: hero with search → fresh listings → “How it works” → coverage (30 cities) → about the company → FAQ. Separate pages cover the catalogue, registration/account, the help centre, the PDF agreement (/offer/), and legal pages (terms, public offer, refunds).

Hero and fresh listings

The hero delivers both a value proposition (“0% agent commission”, “save UAH 20,000–50,000”) and a working tool — a search form with city and room-count selection. Below it, a “Fresh listings” strip shows apartment cards (price/month, district, room count, area, an “From the owner” badge), proving the database is current before the visitor even reaches the catalogue.

“Fresh listings” — apartment cards with photo, monthly price, district, room count and area, plus a “From the owner” badge; next to it, a block on “Apartments from owners — no commission”.

How it works — 3 steps

The “How it works” section removes the distrust around online rentals in three photo-backed steps: 01 Search (by city/district/budget/rooms), 02 Browse (verified listings from owners), 03 Contact (the owner’s phone number directly, no agent). Each step links to a relevant action — open the search, learn how verification works, or get a sample agreement.

“How it works” — three steps from search to contacting the owner, each with an interior photo, a short description and a CTA (open search / how we verify / sample agreement).

Coverage — 30 cities

The “30 cities of Ukraine” block is a grid of every city with the number of apartments in each (Kyiv 8,603, Dnipro 2,628, Lviv 1,511…), with a running counter of 16,645 listings. Each tile links to the filtered catalogue for that city. It works both as social proof of scale and as a convenient entry point into search.

Inner pages

Catalogue page /search/ — filter sidebar and paginated listings grid
The /search/ catalogue — a filter sidebar (city, districts, price, rooms, area) with advanced filters gated behind a subscription, a results counter, sorting, apartment cards (city, description, price, an “Open” action gated by access) and pagination across dozens of pages.
Help page /info/ — help centre with FAQ categories
The /info/ help centre — structured FAQs by topic (general questions, search and listings, payment and plans, owner contact and agreement, account) as accordions, plus a support contact block.

Individual pages

Besides the homepage: the catalogue with filters and pagination, registration and a user account, subscription checkout (contact access), the help centre, the PDF rental agreement, and legal pages: terms of use, public offer, and refunds. The whole information architecture serves one scenario: find → get access → contact the owner → sign the agreement.

Summary

easy-house.in.ua is an example of a product web application on Django rather than a marketing site: at its core is a proprietary rental catalogue of 16,600+ listings with auto-updates, filters and a subscription for contact access. A transparent model (free browsing, paid contact, 0% to agents), coverage of 30 cities, and a clean “homely” design make the platform a clear, modern housing search tool that competes directly with classic listing boards and estate agencies.
